What I think of Ride-Alert...
Our horse bucked my daughter off out hacking last Saturday and disappeared at full gallop into Bedgebury Forest. There are hundreds of acres of forest, flanked ultimately by roads and this was our worst nightmare. We were so lucky to find him after an hour, caught by some heroic cyclists but this whole event made me realise he had no identification on him (save his microchip but this was no use in this situation). It doesn't bear thinking about what could have happened..suffice to say we are now registered with Ride Alert and awaiting our peace of mind!

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Everyone!

What I think of Ride-Alert...
great idea have worn my id wristband constantly over the last 6 months and have felt confident that should i or my horse need assistance help is only a phone call away,BUT must say that i am disappointed in the quality of the wristbands as pvc began to wear badly/break around holes and after about six months i was not able to wear as ran out of holes on wristband. i dont think im the only one that has this problem as i notice on my membership page that they have now added an area were you can mark wristbands lost/damaged.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
anyone who wishes peace of mind when taking part in sports

What I think of Ride-Alert...
Great idea, as a previous customer of the air ambulance, after a fall while hacking I think it is great. I lost 6.5 hours last time and have no idea how i got to hospital. the fear of this happening agian is holding me back from hacking out. I know the braclet can not stop me falling off but at least I know my horse will get home and my Husband will get called.

I think insurnce companies should give discount if your a member of such a scheme.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
On my yard loads of people hack out alone across busy roads and to remote places, everyone should be encoraged to use this for those one off incodents that can be very serious

I am...
I own my own horse and hack out alone and in company, but also go fell walking and climbing so will take this along then.
Also other people ride my horse so i will know he is ok to.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
Ummm, not sure. I was a bit surprised that there wasn't a "package" to cover horse AND rider; it appears you have to buy one ID tag for the rider, and another for the horse, which I find a bit disappointing as it wouldn't make sense to buy one without the other would it? You really need both, and an all inclusive package would, I would suggest, be better.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
I'm a solo hacker for most of the time and so I'd probably benefit from using it - tho' I'd probably struggle to find someone to give as an emergency contact, who could deal with that sort of situation. Also people doing Pleasure Rides, TREC etc

I am...
I'm a happy hacker.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
Great idea. Saw the stand at Bramham Horse Trials and my husband forked out straight away for a wristband and toggle for me and my horse and a wristband for my mother, who walks in the Lake District with the dogs. Have emailed all information to my brother who is a mountain bike guide as I think it would be useful for him in his job, guiding in the Lake District and throughout Europe.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Everyone will benefit from this idea. I am currently aiming to sell to everyone on my yard as we all at some time ride out on our own and there has been two or three mishaps when horses have come home without riders, due to low flying helicopters in our area.
I get the bus and train to work everyday, so am wearing mine all the time now.

I'm a horse rider, mountain biker and HGV 1 driver

What I think of Ride-Alert...
What a fantastic idea and money well spent on on product that will not only assist in helping both horse & rider, but those who come to our aid when needed.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Anybody using Ride Alert, certainly for children - peace of mind for parents when children are out riding.

I am...
I am a horse rider/owner of quite a spooky horse, as we have parted company on several occasions I feel a lot happier now when out hacking knowing I have the backup of Ride Alert.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
This could be a life saver for both horse and rider. I think this a long overdue and thank goodness someone has finally put a system into place. This will help the emergency services no end in indentifying riders quickly and know any medical problems they might have. Also being able to register your horses means if they should require any assistance from a vet that information is also available.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Everyone who rides whether it be for purely for pleasure or competing at international level this system is suitable for all ages and disciplines.

I am...
I am a horse rider and owner who now has piece of mind that if I should part company with either of my horses someone will know who they belong to and where they belong. They can also contact my vet to get assistence for them if needed.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
What an absolutely fabulous product. I cannot believe someone has not thought about this before now. The information you can put on the database is so concise - nothing is left out. Outstanding value for money and I would say an absolute must for all horse riders.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Every horse owner/rider will benefit from this product. It should definitely not be just for competitive riders. Hacking out is, unfortunately, now one of the most hazardous activities we can do - the knowledge all your vital information is stored here for the emergency services to access and allow them to treat you accordingly and safely. Meantime you know your horse is probably returned home and you're own vet called if need be.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
Great Idea! This is a very good start. Would it be possible to have some kind of extension like a tracking device, I am often out alone on young horses.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Everyone, a very sensible way for everybody to wear a medical card at all times.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
Ride-Alert is exactly what the equine world has been waiting for.

We will never make this sport safe, we can however ensure that we are best prepared if an accident does occur.

When you prepare to ride you ensure that your tack is safe, you ensure that you wear a hat, you may even ensure that you wear a back protector - You will now ensure that you have the Ride-Alert wrist band and toggle with you.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Every rider, driver, owner and parent will benefit from this ID system.

I am...
I am a Horse Rider competing in a variety of disciplines.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
I think it is a marvelous development and now perhaps we can all go riding without the worry of what happens if I have an accident?

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
Anyone who is riding out, especially alone should be signing up to this.

What I think of Ride-Alert...
It appears to make a lot of sense to me! You never know when you will need it and being without it seems to make no sense at all now it is available.

Who would benefit from Ride-Alert?...
I think everyone who is associated with Riding should at least consider having this service.

I think that Eventing should make it conditional on entry to events.

I am...
Concerned parent of an Eventing daughter.
