What is BEIDS?

BEIDS (British Equestrian ID Service) in partnership with Petplan Equine is the new service that is also supported by the BHS, Brisish Eventing, British Dressage, Endurance GB, Riding for the Disabled. Is is powered by Ride-Alert technology and simply a different brand of the same product. Ride-Alert customers will all be registered as BEIDS members from the 1st October 2011. What is a Family Registration?

It means that you may register as many persons or horses as you like within one registration.


Why do my ID devices have different numbers?

• Any person or horse can have any number of ID devices that are registered to them
• An ID device can only be registered to one person or horse at a time
• An ID device can be reassigned any time


 

What does my Registration give me?

Have I purchased Registration?

Your first year of registration is complimentary. After 12 months there is an annual administration fee of £15.00


How much are Ride-Alert ID Devices?

All Ride-Alert products have a recommended retail price of £10.00. If you buy two or more ID products, each additional product saves you 30%. For example two Ride-Alert ID devices will cost you a £10 + £7.00 (30% off £10.00) = £17.00

Gift packaging costs £0.99  


Will there be special offers?

From time to time special Registration offers will be available. These will normally be through the internet and use special offer codes to provide discounted ID Devices or Registration packs.


What is a Registration Pack?

A registration pack consists of at least 1 ID device with 12 months complimentary family registration 

 


What about additional Riders and Horses?

• ID wristbands, ID hat badges and Horse Toggles are £9.97 each (including postage) 
• If you buy more than 1 ID device, then every 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc device has 40% off (for example 2 ID devices costs £15.95) 
 
Any number of additional riders and horses can be added to the Family Register - free of charge.


What if I lose my ID band, toggles or hat badges?

When you register your ID band, toggles or hat badges in your account there is a link to additional products. If you lose your ID Devices click on this link and it will allow you buy a new ID Device.


What if my contact or personal details change within my service period?

If your information should change at any point, simply go into your account and update them free of charge. Any amendments you make are instantly available to the Incident response Team.


What if I want to add additional family members or horses after my account has been set up?

You may add as many family members or horses as you like at any time. Simply go into your account and update them free of charge. Buying additional ID Devices for family members and horse toggles is simple – In you account there is a link to additional products. If you would like to buy additional ID Devices for your family or horses click on this link buy new ID Devices at member prices.


What if I have problems registering or adding any information to my account

If you experience any problems with the service or your account then you may e-mail us on enquiries@ride-alert.co.uk. We will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible with an answer to your questions.


I can not assign a new tag to anything or anyone.

In order to assign a tag to a person, pet or property the person, pet or property needs to be registered first. Go to add person, pet or property and fill in the details. Once this has been achieved go to add tag. Add your new tag number and then attach it to your person, pet or property.


Once I have an account can I change my username and password?

All you need to do to change your username & password if you find it hard to remember is: Get into your account using the supplied username and password. Go to Account details, click on UPDATE LOG-IN DETAILS and amend as you see fit. Be sure to save your amends at every stage. You can also set what internet site page you go to after logging out of your account ie:www.google.co.uk.


Can I add pictures of my family and Horses.

In order to add pictures of any of the family or your horses you need to create a personal profile. Go to People, Medical, Contact list and click on add person. Fill in the details regarding the family member and save. Once saved you can go back to view profile and upload a jpeg picture to the profile.
