Air Ambulances "On average an emergency air ambulances takes off every 10 minutes in the UK. The East Anglian Air Ambulance is alerted to some 1,000 cases per year of which equestrian incidents account for some 10% of our workload. Nationally over 38 riding accidents are attended by air ambulances every week. Ride-Alert provides an ideal method for riders to make our job easier by giving us the 24-hour point of contact to find out about a rider’s medical history, allergies, next of kin and ownership of a specific horse. To help towards air ambulance operational costs, our fundraising team will be taking Ride-Alert packs to events that we attend for prospective customers to purchase and register with the service."
